Santos forward Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior has said he would love to see Brazil and Argentina meet in the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as excitement builds ahead of the tournament scheduled across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Neymar’s dream for the 2026 World Cup final was shared during an interview in which the Brazilian forward spoke about his hopes for football’s biggest stage and his ambition to represent his country once again.

He described a potential showdown between the two South American rivals as a perfect ending to the competition, calling the idea “fantastic”.

“A final Brazil-Argentina! It would be fantastic,” he said.

Neymar also expressed his personal desire to be part of Brazil’s squad, noting that playing at the World Cup remains one of his biggest career goals as selection discussions approach.

“I think about the World Cup like every player. I’d love to be there. I hope it will happen,” he added.

His participation will depend on final squad decisions in the coming months as Brazil prepare for the global tournament.

Sanwo-Olu surprises wife Ibijoke with flowers and shares a kiss at COWLSO’s 26th Annual National Women’s Conference in Lagos

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu surprised his wife, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, with flowers before sharing a kiss with her at the opening ceremony of the 26th Annual National Women’s Conference in Lagos on Tuesday.

The event was organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) under the theme, “Anchored in Purpose: Be the Blueprint.”

Sanwo-Olu presented the flowers to his wife during his speech at the conference, which brings together women and leaders for discussions and activities focused on women’s empowerment and leadership.

“On behalf of COWLSO and everything that is decent, we want to appreciate you, we want to honour you,” the governor said.

The couple subsequently shared a kiss as Nigerian singer 2Baba’s song, “African Queen”, played at the event.

The conference aims to inspire women, empower leaders and promote a purposeful future through discussions and activities centred on women’s development.
