Mudryk hit with long-term suspension in FA ruling for Chelsea, sees Chelsea winger suspended after anti-doping breach, with appeal now before CAS

The Football Association has handed Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk a four-year suspension following anti-doping violations, delivering the maximum sanction available under the regulations.

Mudryk, 25, has not featured for Chelsea since 28 November 2024, with his absence now extended indefinitely due to the ruling.

Ukraine international, who joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023 for a reported £88 million, is contracted to the Premier League club until 2030.

Following the decision, Mudryk has lodged an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), submitting his case on 25 February. However, a hearing date has yet to be set.

The suspension marks a major setback in the winger’s career, halting his progress at Stamford Bridge during a period when he had been expected to play a key role in the club’s long-term plans.

Chelsea have yet to issue a detailed public response to the latest development, while the player awaits the outcome of his appeal process.
