NFF hands Yakubu Adamu referee suspension was confirmed after the official was found to have awarded a penalty during the NPFL match between Rangers International and Bendel Insurance, a decision the committee ruled was not in line with the Laws of the Game.

According to information shared via the official NPFL communication platform on X, the committee concluded that Adamu’s decision directly influenced the outcome of the match, describing the incident as one that brought the game into disrepute.

The ruling stated that the penalty call significantly affected the competitive balance of the fixture, which Rangers went on to win 2-1 in a closely contested encounter.
