Mr Salau Hammed, Ota Divisional Commander of TRACE, said the incident occurred at approximately 9:55 a.m. on Tuesday and involved a truck, a tricycle, and nine persons in total.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck lost control due to brake failure while travelling from Ilo-Awela toward the toll gate, ramming into a tricycle, other vehicles, and pedestrians.

“The corpses of the victims have been taken to the mortuary at Ifo General Hospital, while the survivors are receiving treatment at Ota General Hospital,” Hammed said.
