Osimhen rejects Al Hilal despite €75m bid, preferring Galatasaray. Napoli push for Saudi deal, but striker remains loyal to Turkish champions

Osimhen rejects Al Hilal once again, despite the Saudi club meeting Napoli’s €75m valuation for the striker. The Nigeria international remains steadfast in his decision to pursue a permanent move to Galatasaray, where he thrived during his loan spell.

Napoli have received two offers that match their asking price—one from Al-Hilal and the other from Galatasaray. The Turkish champions proposed €40m upfront with an additional €35m to be paid in instalments, while Al-Hilal opted for a simpler two-part payment structure.

Despite Napoli’s repeated efforts to sway him, Osimhen has flatly refused to engage in talks with the Saudi Pro League side. “Every approach has been turned down without discussion,” reported Alfredo Pedullà via Football Italia, echoing similar comments by Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu.

Osimhen’s preference for Galatasaray is fuelled by his remarkable 2024 season, scoring 37 goals and assisting eight times in 41 appearances. He has shown no interest in leaving Europe or accepting the higher wages offered in Saudi Arabia.

Further complicating the transfer is Napoli’s insistence on an ‘anti-Italy’ clause. President Aurelio De Laurentiis reportedly wants a contract stipulation that would block Osimhen from returning to Serie A for at least three seasons, preventing a move to domestic rivals.

While Osimhen rejects Al Hilal, Galatasaray continue efforts to finalise payment guarantees. Napoli, meanwhile, still hope the Nigerian forward might reconsider the more profitable Saudi option—but no change appears likely at this time.
