Bishop Oyedepo said the substance was found by his driver, a pastor who had just returned from Katsina and offered to wash the car that morning.

The driver removed the seats and uncovered a freshly wrapped parcel of marijuana concealed beneath one of them, prompting immediate suspicion.

The preacher added that later that night, while he was returning from his office, policemen who would normally salute him stopped his vehicle and searched precisely the same spot where the parcel had been placed.

According to him, the officers offered an apology after he confronted them, acknowledging the gravity of the situation.

Bishop Oyedepo noted that many innocent people end up in prison due to similar setups, stressing that he was fortunate that the plot was uncovered before the police intervention.

He urged young people to embrace spiritual guidance early in life, saying that his faith shielded him from what could have been a devastating false accusation.
