Pastor Enoch Adeboye shares a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness, urging Nigerians to trust God for promotion and hope during hardship

Pastor Enoch Adeboye has once again reminded Nigerians that true promotion comes from God, not man. Speaking at the 50th anniversary of the All Christians Fellowship Mission (ACFM) in Abuja, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) leader recounted his humble beginnings and the role of divine faithfulness in shaping his journey.

Adeboye told the congregation how he once walked barefoot through school and hailed from a village so small it was not on Nigeria’s map.

He said his early ministry faced scarcity, but faith remained his currency. “Your promotion is not in the hand of man. Your promotion is in the hand of God,” he declared with conviction.

The pastor described God as the ultimate promoter, encouraging Nigerians not to define themselves by present hardship but to trust in God’s ability to elevate anyone to greatness. His words drew applause and reflection among the faithful.

Adeboye also praised ACFM’s founder, Rev. Williams Okoye, calling him steadfast and unwavering in faith. Okoye, reflecting on the church’s 50-year journey, credited God for sustaining ACFM from its humble beginnings in a makeshift structure to becoming a global mission with branches in countries like Rwanda, Uganda, and Burkina Faso.

The anniversary, themed “God Our Helper”, celebrated both resilience and growth. Rev. Okoye emphasized that thanksgiving, even for small mercies, was essential for spiritual and national transformation.

He highlighted how ACFM contributed to Nigeria’s progress by mentoring two presidents without scandal, while also shaping spiritual maturity across generations.

Former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, alongside other dignitaries, acknowledged the church’s influence on their personal and professional lives. Similarly, former elder Ifeanyi Odedo credited ACFM’s mentorship for molding his integrity and leadership.

The celebration featured three days of praise and worship, with Pastor Titus Omolewa noting that despite organizational challenges, God’s hand was evident throughout.
