Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has delivered a stinging verdict on Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes, insisting the north London club will “collapse” in the closing stages of the season as Manchester City intensify the pressure.

Patrice Evra made the remarks during an appearance on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, following Arsenal’s 2–1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, a result that tightened the title race and raised fresh doubts over their ability to maintain momentum.

Patrice Evra warns of Arsenal collapse in title race comes at a critical point in the season, with Mikel Arteta’s side having spent 207 days at the top of the table but now holding only a slender three-point advantage over City, who also have a game in hand.

Evra argued that Arsenal lack the mentality required to withstand sustained pressure in a title run-in, suggesting the team may falter in the final stages of the campaign.

“That’s why I say I don’t see Arsenal… in the last three games, they will collapse,” Patrice Evra said.

“I don’t sense any personality in this team that can manage that pressure.”

The former defender went further, praising Manchester City’s consistency and asserting that Pep Guardiola’s side continue to demonstrate superiority when it matters most.

“They demonstrate that they are superior to Arsenal, and they will prove it once more,” he added.

Arsenal’s current campaign marks yet another intense title challenge in what has become a recurring pattern of near misses.

Should they fail to secure the Premier League crown this season, it would represent a fourth consecutive year of falling short in the title race, extending their wait for a league triumph to 22 years.
