PDP 2025 convention launches in Ibadan with over 3,000 delegates ahead of elections for National Working Committee and party leadership

PDP 2025 convention has officially launched at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan, marking a historic gathering of party delegates and stakeholders.

The two-day convention, running from November 15 to 16, brings together over 3,000 delegates, governors, National Executive Committee members, Board of Trustees members, and party stakeholders from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The event will culminate in the election of a new National Working Committee, including a National Chairman, to steer the party toward the 2027 general elections.

The convention comes after delays, internal factional disputes, and attempts by some parties to involve INEC and the courts to halt proceedings.

Organisers celebrated Ibadan’s modern infrastructure and facilities, drawing parallels to the party’s transformative 1998 Jos convention.
