Peju Ogunmola son dies after brief illness in Ibadan, not a bathroom accident, as family warns against false rumours

Peju Ogunmola son, Ayomikun Omobolanle, has passed away, leaving Nollywood and the wider entertainment industry in grief. The family has dismissed viral claims that he died in a bathroom accident in the United Kingdom.

In a statement released by family spokesperson Yemi Amodu, the Ogunmola family confirmed that Ayomikun died in Ibadan after a brief illness. Despite receiving medical care, he passed on at a hospital in the Oyo State capital and has since been buried at Eternal Rest Home.

The family strongly condemned the spread of false reports online, warning that such misinformation dishonours his memory and inflicts further pain on loved ones.

“We wish to clearly state that Sola did not pass away as a result of any bathroom accident. He was briefly unwell, and despite the best efforts of his doctors, he peacefully answered the call of his creator,” the statement read.

The family expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and prayers they have received since the tragic loss, urging the public to disregard fake reports and respect their privacy during this difficult time.
