Primate Ayodele offers N8m cars for N1m in youth empowerment drive, urging government to create more support schemes for Nigerian youths

Primate Ayodele vehicle subsidy initiative has again stirred admiration as the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, prepares to host another edition of his popular empowerment scheme offering foreign-used cars valued at over ₦8 million for just ₦1 million.

The initiative, tagged Vehicle Subsidy, coincides with the church’s youth anniversary week, which ends on Sunday, 12 October 2025.

A video released by the church showed Primate Ayodele test-driving some of the vehicles to confirm their sound condition before the exercise begins.

According to the church management, this round of the vehicle subsidy programme will be strictly limited to youths who are members of the church. A previous edition held earlier in the year had been open to all members.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the gesture, Primate Ayodele said the initiative was designed to empower young Nigerians struggling under current economic challenges.

“Buying foreign-used cars in Nigeria has become difficult for youths. Prices keep rising, and even those who want to use cars for ride-hailing businesses like Uber and Bolt can’t afford them,” the cleric said.

He described the project as his personal contribution toward youth empowerment, adding that economic hardship had made it nearly impossible for many young people to establish themselves legitimately.

“I love to see youths progress. It pains me deeply to see how much they struggle to rise in this country. We condemn those involved in illegitimate businesses, but what are we doing to support those trying to make an honest living?” he asked.

The Primate Ayodele vehicle subsidy initiative, he explained, aims to provide an affordable means of livelihood and mobility for hardworking young Nigerians.

He further appealed to the Federal Government to develop sustainable youth empowerment programmes that can help rebuild the nation’s economic foundation.
