Raphael Onyedika Galatasaray transfer talks are reportedly back on the table as the Turkish champions prepare a fresh approach for the Nigerian midfielder ahead of the January window, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, Galatasaray are ready to offer Club Brugge a loan deal with an obligation to buy the 24-year-old when the season concludes.

The Super Lig leaders had previously pursued Onyedika in the summer but failed to reach an agreement.

“The player, who previously said ‘Yes,’ is warm to the transfer,” the report said, suggesting Onyedika remains open to the move.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is keen to strengthen his midfield options for the second half of the campaign, with the club targeting both domestic success and progress in the Champions League.

The Istanbul side view Onyedika as a long-term solution in midfield, having monitored him for over a year.

Standing at 1.84 metres, the defensive midfielder joined Club Brugge from FC Midtjylland in 2022 and has since become a vital part of their system.

Despite starting the 2025–26 season strongly, Onyedika suffered a hamstring injury during Club Brugge’s chaotic 5–5 draw with Westerlo in September, sidelining him for up to six weeks.

The injury ruled him out of Nigeria’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers, a significant blow for the Super Eagles’ midfield depth.

Before the setback, Onyedika had impressed in both domestic and European competitions, scoring in a 4–0 win over Monaco and earning man of the match honours against Sint-Truiden.

Club sources say Brugge are open to offers, despite Onyedika’s contract running until 2028. His current market value is estimated around €20 million, although Galatasaray hope to negotiate a more favourable structure via an initial loan.
