Chukwueze, currently on loan at Fulham from AC Milan, moved to England in the summer of 2025 with an option to buy.

His spell in Italy had been mixed, as he made 26 Serie A appearances for Milan in the 2024/25 campaign but started only nine matches, totalling 918 minutes with three goals and two assists.

Since arriving in England, the 26-year-old winger has impressed, contributing three goals and four assists in 12 Premier League appearances, despite missing games due to AFCON commitments.

West Ham, under Nuno Espírito Santo, used the winter transfer window to bolster their squad and now appear to be preparing for a summer push.

Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that the Hammers have made an initial enquiry about Chukwueze’s availability.

However, West Ham will face competition not only from Fulham, who hold an option to sign him permanently, but also from Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, who are monitoring developments closely.

Chukwueze remains contracted to AC Milan, but the Serie A giants are reportedly open to a sale if their valuation is met, seeking between £21.7m and £26m.

Milan are confident that Fulham will exercise its purchase option but see Chukwueze as a key revenue source, alongside other players like Alex Jimenez, whose transfer to Bournemouth already generated €12m for the Italian club.
