Symply Tacha urges men to show effort in relationships, highlighting gestures and consistency as key to modern dating

Media personality Symply Tacha has called on men to make deliberate efforts to impress women in relationships, arguing that gestures of attention and care are essential.

Speaking on the CreativiTEA podcast, Tacha criticised the notion that men no longer need to impress their partners.

She highlighted inconsistencies in modern dating culture, noting that men are often expected to buy gifts or take women out while simultaneously being told effort is unnecessary.

“Push the whole narrative of ‘men don’t have to impress,’ and I’m like, you can’t tell me men don’t have to impress, and every other day you’re telling a girl let me buy you bottles, let me take you out. There has to be effort,” she said.

Tacha drew parallels from nature, pointing out that male birds display themselves to attract female mates, emphasising that effort is instinctive and essential.

She questioned why some men consider effort optional, while women are expected to maintain standards.

She also urged women to be honest about their expectations and to reject minimal effort under the guise of “wokeness” or independence.

“Most animals have 90% DNA structure as humans. So yes, if a bird can understand he has to impress the female, who are you to not understand you have to impress?” she added.
