Senator Aminu Tambuwal expresses confidence that the PDP will reclaim power from the APC in 2027, urging party unity and mobilisation

Senator Aminu Tambuwal has voiced optimism that the **Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)** will regain power from the ruling **All Progressives Congress (APC)** in the **2027 general elections**.

The former governor of Sokoto State made this declaration on Monday during the flag-off of the **Ramadan package distribution** to residents of the state.

In his remarks, Tambuwal reflected on the significance of Ramadan, expressing gratitude for life and health despite the challenges facing the nation.

“We must recognise the grace of Allah for being alive to witness another Ramadan, despite the many lives lost.

We continue to pray for good health and longevity so that we may celebrate many more blessed months of Ramadan,” he stated.

While addressing PDP supporters, Tambuwal acknowledged the efforts of party leaders in keeping the PDP strong and united, particularly in Sokoto State.

He reaffirmed his belief that the party’s mandate was “forcefully stolen” in the **2023 elections** and expressed confidence in reclaiming it in **2027**.

“By the grace of Allah, what was taken from us will be returned in 2027,” he declared.

Tambuwal’s remarks come at a time when the opposition party is working to strengthen its base and strategise for the upcoming elections.

His statement also underscores the ongoing rivalry between the **PDP and APC**, setting the stage for a heated political contest in the coming years.
