Usman created the early momentum, linking with Joel before the woodwork denied Nigeria an immediate breakthrough. Moments later, a poor goal kick gifted Usman the opener, and the hosts never looked back.

Joel doubled the lead in the eleventh minute, then set up Bethel Emmanuel for Nigeria’s third before completing his brace with a composed finish. His hat-trick arrived in the twentieth minute, giving Nigeria a commanding 5–0 lead at half time.

The second half mirrored the first, with sustained pressure overwhelming Benin’s defence. Usman made it six, Ndako added another, and Daniel’s introduction injected fresh firepower.
