The deal includes a non-mandatory option to buy worth around €8 million, offering Moffi a fresh start after a challenging spell in France.

The 26-year-old is expected to travel to Porto to complete a medical and finalise the move.

Porto overcame competition from clubs including Besiktas, which had offered a higher salary, as well as teams in France and Scotland.

Moffi chose Porto for the sporting project and to reunite with coach Francesco Farioli, who knows him from Ligue 1.

Moffi struggled at Nice this season, scoring just two goals in 10 league appearances, a sharp decline from his previous campaign as top scorer.

He has also remained a key figure in the Super Eagles, debuting in 2021 and scoring a brace in a 10‑0 win over São Tomé and Príncipe in 2022.
