Tiwa Savage Wizkid love resurfaces as the singer admits performing with him revived intense memories at the Great Lagos Countdown 2025

Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage said performing alongside fellow artiste Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, remains an emotional experience, admitting that she still harbours deep feelings for her former partner and music collaborator.

Tiwa Savage made the disclosure in a video circulating on social media while reflecting on their reunion performance at the Great Lagos Countdown 2025, an annual music event held in Lagos.

The award-winning performer explained that sharing the stage with Wizkid stirred memories from their past relationship, making it difficult to mask her emotions during the show.

Tiwa Savage recalled that seeing Wizkid again revived feelings she experienced six years ago, noting that her heart still responds the same way whenever they are in close proximity.

Despite the challenges that once characterised their relationship, Tiwa Savage said the joyful moments they shared remain deeply etched in her memory.

“It’s uncomfortable performing with Wizkid on stage. I admit I’m still in love with him. When we reunited at Great Lagos Countdown 2025, my heart beat just as it did six years ago.

Every time Wizkid gets close, I can’t control my smile,” Tiwa Savage said.

“He gave me so many beautiful memories that I almost forgot how bad our relationship once was. If I could choose one man in this lifetime, it would only be Wizkid,” Tiwa Savage added.
