Uba Sani developmental projects continue in Kaduna State without loans, as the Governor breaks ground on new roads and revives abandoned infrastructure

Uba Sani developmental projects have gained renewed attention as the Kaduna State Governor reaffirmed his commitment to executing infrastructure without resorting to borrowing.

Speaking at a groundbreaking ceremony in Lere Local Government Area, Governor Sani declared that his administration will sustain progress through prudent financial management.

The Governor flagged off the construction of a 16.5-kilometre road connecting Kayarda Tasha, Kayarda Gari, Unguwan Sarki, Maskawa, and Dan Alhaji — describing the project as “unprecedented” in Lere’s history.

He added that the road will be built by a reputable construction firm, ensuring both quality and long-term impact.

Governor Sani revealed that he inherited several abandoned projects from previous administrations.

Among those completed are the Rewa and Marjeri bridges, while Tudai Bridge is slated for completion within two months.

The Uba Sani developmental projects also extend to addressing rural electrification.

The Governor announced that steps are being taken to improve electricity access in Yarkasuwa, Kayarda, Ramin Kura, and Mariri — communities long neglected in power distribution.

In his remarks, Commissioner for Environment Alhaji Abubakar Buba hailed the Governor as a “promise keeper,” citing key appointments and infrastructure that have empowered Lere indigenes. He praised the inclusion of Hon.

Munira Tanimu as Majority Leader of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, and applauded the Governor’s decentralised approach, allowing local officials to manage affairs effectively.

Hon. Tanimu recalled that the new road was one of the top campaign demands from Lere residents and said its delivery confirms the APC government’s credibility.

She expressed confidence that the party would replicate its electoral victories in the 2027 elections.

Also speaking at the event, Hon. Ahmed Munir, Member of the House of Representatives, described Sani as a grassroots leader.

He shared a personal anecdote from Saminaka, noting that the Governor once led the town’s local football team, Saminaka Celtics, as a top striker.

“Just as he scored the most goals for our team, he is now scoring big for Kaduna with impactful leadership,” Munir said.
