Peter Adeleke sets Guinness World Record with a 28-hour 45-minute leadership lesson, inspiring transformational leadership worldwide

Nigerian-born leadership coach and author Peter Adeleke Guinness World Record attempt has been officially recognised after he delivered the longest leadership lesson ever recorded — an astonishing 28 hours and 45 minutes in Calgary, Canada.

Adeleke, who began the marathon teaching session in August 2025 with an ambitious goal of between 30 to 48 hours, surpassed the previous record of 24 hours.

The Guinness World Records confirmed his achievement on their official website and through an email shared by Adeleke on Instagram.

“We are thrilled to inform you that your application for the longest leadership lesson has been successful and you are now the Guinness World Records Title Holder!” the confirmation email read.

The official GWR statement praised Adeleke as an author, speaker, and qualified leadership expert who aims to transform leadership development globally.

His record-setting lesson took place on 30 August 2025 in Calgary.

Reflecting on the feat, Adeleke shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, citing resilience, grace, and the support of his team as key factors in achieving the record. “To God alone be the glory,” he wrote.

Although he did not reach his original goal of teaching for 48 hours, Adeleke emphasised the significance of pushing boundaries and creating meaningful impact.

On his website, he explained, “Success isn’t always about hitting the exact target you set. It’s about discovering your true limits and making a difference along the way.”

This achievement adds Adeleke to the growing list of Nigerians holding Guinness World Records.
