Victor Osimhen salary demand is reportedly £200,000 weekly, not £300,000, making Manchester United move more feasible amid INEOS wage structure plans

Victor Osimhen salary expectations have come under renewed scrutiny, with reports now indicating that the Nigerian striker is willing to accept a weekly wage of around £200,000 if he secures a move to Manchester United.

This comes in sharp contrast to earlier claims that he was demanding up to £300,000 per week.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano clarified the situation on Tuesday, stating that the figures circulating in the media were “wide of the mark.”

According to Romano, Osimhen’s only request is to maintain the net earnings he currently receives at Napoli, which amount to approximately €12 million annually—around £10.2 million per season.

“He just wants his current salary respected, nothing different. Same as one year ago,” Romano explained, suggesting that Osimhen is not placing extraordinary financial pressure on potential suitors.

This revelation could make a transfer to Old Trafford more feasible, especially as INEOS, the group overseeing Manchester United’s recruitment strategy, is focused on reducing the club’s inflated wage bill.

Osimhen’s expected salary would still fall below that of Mason Mount, who reportedly earns £250,000 per week.

The 26-year-old forward has attracted intense transfer interest following a stellar season in which he reportedly notched 37 goals and contributed eight assists in 41 matches while on loan at Turkish club Galatasaray.

Despite his success in Turkey, Osimhen is set to leave Napoli permanently this summer, with several top European clubs monitoring his availability.

There have been strong suggestions that Napoli would prefer to broker a deal with Liverpool, possibly involving a player swap for Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez.

However, Manchester United remain firmly in the race, and Osimhen’s realistic wage expectations could be a decisive factor.
