The club confirmed that the Wikki Tourists six players AWOL disciplinary action was taken after repeated attempts to reach the players proved unsuccessful, raising concerns over a breach of professional and contractual obligations.

The affected players are Abdullahi Pepe, Chizoba Okoh, Sani Ibrahim, Abubakar Ibrahim Aliyu, Ibrahim Shuaibu and Barhama Mansur, all of whom have reportedly failed to return to camp or provide any satisfactory explanation for their absence.

Club officials described the situation as a serious violation of discipline, insisting that the players’ continued absence undermines team structure and professional standards within the organisation.

Wikki Tourists stated that efforts to establish communication with the players had been unsuccessful, despite multiple attempts to secure their return to camp and resolve the matter internally.

The Bauchi-based side further reiterated its commitment to discipline, professionalism and excellence, both on and off the pitch, stressing that no player is above the club’s established rules and regulations.

The matter has now been escalated to the NFF, with potential disciplinary measures expected depending on the outcome of investigations and contractual reviews.
