Amobi Ezeaku announced his resignation on Monday in a formal statement, describing his time in office as a “profound honour” and a valuable opportunity to contribute to the development of professional football in the country.

Amobi Ezeaku NPFL Club Owners Association resignation comes shortly after a highly successful domestic campaign in which Rangers secured a record-equalling ninth NPFL title at the end of the 2025 to 2026 season.

In his statement, Ezeaku expressed appreciation for the collaboration he experienced while serving alongside club owners and football administrators, noting their shared commitment to strengthening the sustainability of the Nigerian game.
