World Cup Final Ball Auction features rare tournament memorabilia, including match balls and Shakira’s halftime show outfits, to support global education

Christie’s, the New York-based auction house, has announced the World Cup Final Ball Auction, featuring rare memorabilia from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including the official match ball used in the final and outfits worn during the tournament’s historic halftime show.

The week-long online auction will begin on July 22, with proceeds supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aimed at raising $100 million to improve education opportunities for children around the world during the World Cup.

Among the most notable items available is a match ball used in the 2026 World Cup final, which was played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19. Another ball from the tournament’s opening match in Mexico will also be included in the collection.

The auction will also feature stage costumes from some of the biggest names in global entertainment. Colombian singer Shakira’s yellow crop top and trousers, worn in the music video for Dai Dai, the official song of the 2026 tournament, are among the headline pieces.

An outfit worn by Shakira during her performance at the first-ever World Cup final halftime show will also go under the hammer. The 11-minute musical performance featured a major international line-up, including Madonna, Justin Bieber and BTS.

The memorabilia sale offers fans an opportunity to own pieces connected to one of football’s biggest global events while contributing to a charitable cause focused on children’s education.

Other items included in the auction are a 2022 Argentina national team jersey signed by football icon Lionel Messi and a United States men’s national team jersey signed by members of the squad.

The auction reflects the growing value of sports memorabilia, where historic match items, signed equipment and celebrity-associated pieces continue to attract collectors worldwide.
