Lagos APC alleges Insider Sabotage in recent terror attacks, claiming internal and external actors are undermining national security efforts

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has alleged Insider Sabotage in recent terror attacks across Nigeria, claiming that elements within the country’s security architecture are undermining national efforts in collaboration with external forces.

The allegation was made in a statement released on Saturday by Lagos APC spokesman Seye Oladejo, who warned that “traitors” within the system were enabling terrorists to operate with precision.

Oladejo said Nigeria faces a critical moment in history, not due to weakness, but because saboteurs in high places, combined with foreign instigators, believe they can manipulate the nation’s destiny. He added that their plot would ultimately fail.

He linked the surge in coordinated attacks to internal betrayal, noting that the precision of the incidents indicated leaks from within the system.

According to Oladejo, only insiders could compromise operations so accurately or provide terrorists with movement details and operational gaps.

The Lagos APC spokesman alleged a pattern of sabotage, including attacks on soft targets, deliberate weakening of checkpoints, and escalations following external provocations.

He further accused unnamed political actors of amplifying extremist narratives and undermining national morale.

Despite these claims, Oladejo praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for leading a decisive and intelligence-driven fight against terrorism. He described the President’s approach as uncompromising and rigorous in pursuit of terrorists and their collaborators.

“Your game is up. Your betrayal is noted. Your network will be exposed,” he warned, referring to the alleged saboteurs. Oladejo insisted that Nigeria would overcome its security challenges and that victory was certain.

Authorities have not responded to the allegations, and no concrete evidence was provided in the APC statement to substantiate the claims of internal or foreign coordination.
