Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi is set to be honoured with a commemorative plaque as he reaches a landmark 100 appearances for the Super Eagles during tonight’s international friendly against Portugal.

Iwobi’s milestone marks a major achievement in his international career, as he joins an elite group of Nigerian players who have reached a century of caps for the national team.

The milestone places him alongside legendary figures such as Vincent Enyeama, Joseph Yobo and Ahmed Musa, who have all previously achieved the feat.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been a consistent presence for Nigeria since making his debut in 2015 against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In 99 appearances prior to the match, Iwobi has scored 10 goals and provided eight assists for the three-time African champions.
