The 27-year-old strengthened his position in the club’s scoring rankings with a brace in Galatasaray’s 2-1 derby victory over Fenerbahçe on Monday night.

Osimhen now occupies third place on the club’s all-time scoring list, behind former Argentina international Mauro Icardi, who leads with 77 goals, and Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi, who has scored 72 times for the Istanbul side.

The Nigerian forward needs five more goals to draw level with Hagi and 10 to equal Icardi’s reported tally.

The striker has made an impressive start to the season, recording nine goals and three assists in nine appearances across all competitions for Okan Buruk’s team.

His consistent contributions have made him a key attacking figure for Galatasaray as he continues to climb the club’s scoring rankings.

The latest derby brace further underlined his importance to the side and brought him closer to the milestones set by two of the club’s most celebrated foreign players.

Osimhen’s rise on Galatasaray’s all-time scoring list adds to his growing influence at the club.

Hagi, widely regarded as one of Romania’s greatest footballers, remains second on the list with 72 goals, while Icardi occupies the top position with 77.

With 68 goals already to his name, Osimhen is within reach of both records if he maintains his current scoring rate.

The Nigerian international will be looking to continue finding the net in upcoming fixtures as Galatasaray pursue their domestic and continental ambitions.

Further goals would move him closer to a place at the top of the club’s historical scoring chart and strengthen his standing among Galatasaray’s most prolific foreign players.
