Alexander Isak hints at undisclosed details behind his record Liverpool transfer, expressing relief to focus on football after a complex summer saga

Alexander Isak Liverpool transfer has sparked intense speculation, but the striker has hinted there’s more to the story behind his record-breaking £125 million move from Newcastle to Liverpool.

Speaking after his first appearance of the season for Sweden, Isak said, “Not everyone has the full picture, but that’s something for another day.” The forward made a brief appearance off the bench in Sweden’s 2-0 World Cup qualifying loss to Kosovo.

“I can’t control everything that’s said or written. But I’m happy that I became a Liverpool player,” Isak added.

Isak replaced Newcastle teammate Anthony Elanga for the final 18 minutes in a tough match where he made three shots, two on target, but was also booked for a clash with Kosovo’s Fidan Aliti.

“It’s great that everything was settled before the camp and that I could focus on playing football again. It’s been a fairly new situation for me, but you always learn and develop mentally off the pitch as well,” Isak reflected.

The Swedish manager Jon Dahl Tomasson confirmed Isak had limited training with the national team, explaining his initial absence from both Newcastle’s pre-season friendlies and Sweden’s earlier qualifiers.
