Mikel Arteta praises Kai Havertz after his decisive goal helped Arsenal defeat Chelsea 1-0 and reach the Carabao Cup final

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has commended Kai Havertz following the German midfielder’s decisive goal in the Gunners’ 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg on Tuesday.

Havertz, who came off the bench, netted the only goal of the match at the Emirates Stadium, sending Arsenal through to the final and securing a memorable moment against his former club.

“Everyone who knows Kai is genuinely happy for him because he deserves the best,” Arteta said.

“His work and the way he behaves to people every day. I just hope he enjoyed the moment because he deserves it.”
