Calvin Bassey has expressed disappointment over a missed opportunity during Fulham FC’s 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League.

The Nigerian international was close to opening the scoring early in the game, failing to direct his header on target despite out-jumping his marker.

“It was a big chance. I wasn’t sure if I was onside or offside at the moment. I timed the jump well, but I hit it straight at the keeper. It’s got to be a goal,” Bassey admitted.

The 25-year-old has scored once in 22 league appearances this season under Marco Silva, highlighting a relatively quiet campaign for the defender-turned-wing-back.
