Carney Chukwuemeka completes £24m move from Chelsea to Borussia Dortmund, signing a contract until 2030 as part of a long-term rebuild.

Carney Chukwuemeka Dortmund transfer has been finalized, with the Chelsea midfielder completing a medical and signing a long-term deal with Borussia Dortmund, according to Sky in Germany.

The 20-year-old joins the Bundesliga club in a permanent transfer worth around £24 million, becoming part of Dortmund’s strategic youth rebuild.

He has reportedly signed a contract until 2030, signaling Dortmund’s confidence in his long-term potential.

Chukwuemeka, who struggled for regular minutes at Chelsea following his move from Aston Villa in 2022, is expected to get more first-team opportunities in Germany—following in the footsteps of other young English talents who have thrived at Dortmund, such as Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho.

Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Aaron Anselmino has also arrived in Germany today to complete a loan move to Dortmund.

He is set to undergo his medical and finalize formalities shortly.
