The Governor confirmed a total cash reward of ₦150 million for the NPFL champions, who secured their ninth league title after a hard-fought 2-1 away victory against Ikorodu City two weeks earlier.

Governor Mbah Rewards Rangers during the reception as he praised the team’s resilience and contribution to the state’s sporting pride, describing their achievement as a landmark moment for Enugu football.

Under the announced package, players are to receive ₦100 million in performance bonuses, while members of the club’s management team will share ₦50 million in recognition of their administrative and technical contributions to the title-winning campaign.

In a further gesture that drew notable attention, Governor Mbah also presented Certificates of Occupancy for plots of land in Enugu to all players and management staff, a move widely seen as a long-term incentive beyond the immediate cash reward.

Flying Antelopes clinched the NPFL title in dramatic fashion, sealing the championship with a 2-1 away win against Ikorodu City, a result that secured their place at the summit of Nigerian football for the ninth time.

Governor Mbah gifts Rangers amid growing expectations that the club will now shift focus to their continental ambitions, with preparations already underway for participation in the CAF Champions League next season.
