Man United 2026 World Cup squad numbers revealed as 13 players receive jersey allocations ahead of tournament start

Manchester United have seen 13 of their players assigned squad numbers ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, with national teams formally submitting their final lists before the competition begins on Thursday, June 11.

Although squad changes are still permitted in cases of serious injury or illness up to 24 hours before a team’s opening match, the initial allocations have now been confirmed across participating nations.

Several Manchester United players have received notable jersey numbers across different national teams.

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, Portugal’s Diogo Dalot, and Uruguay international Manuel Ugarte have all been assigned the number five shirt for their respective countries.

Brazil forward Matheus Cunha will wear the number nine shirt as he prepares to play a key attacking role for the Seleção.

Portugal captain Bruno Fernandes has been handed the number eight shirt, while Scotland midfielder Tyler Fletcher also receives the same number after being named as a replacement for Billy Gilmour in Steve Clarke’s squad.

In goal, Turkey’s Altay Bayindir and Belgium’s Senne Lammens will both wear the number 12 shirt for their national teams.

Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo will feature in shirt number 15, while Morocco defender Noussair Mazraoui takes number three.

For England, Kobbie Mainoo has been assigned number 16, while Marcus Rashford will wear the number 11 shirt as part of the squad heading into the tournament.
