Manchester United have recalled Sonny Aljofree and Louis Jackson from loan to Notts County and Solihull Moors as part of squad plans

Manchester United have recalled defenders Sonny Aljofree and Louis Jackson from their loan spells at Notts County and Solihull Moors, the club confirmed on Thursday.

Aljofree, who made 11 appearances and scored once for the Magpies, was part of Manchester United’s 2022 FA Youth Cup-winning squad and featured in first-team pre-season fixtures.

Jackson, meanwhile, has been gaining senior experience with Solihull Moors since August, developing his midfield capabilities in competitive fixtures.

The recall comes less than a week after Toby Collyer was brought back from his loan at West Brom, signalling United’s intent to strengthen squad depth ahead of the new season.
