FRSC Corps Marshal, Malam Shehu Mohammed, said the accident occurred at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Monday at Malam Tanko, involving a DAF tanker carrying 33 male passengers.

Three occupants were rescued unhurt, while preliminary investigations linked the crash to excessive speed and loss of vehicular control. The vehicle was reportedly engaged in illegal mixed loading, transporting both goods and passengers.

FRSC operatives responded swiftly, rescuing victims and clearing the road. The injured were taken to Umar Musa General Hospital, Sabon Wuse for medical attention, while the deceased were deposited at a mortuary.
