Victor Osimhen is set to return to full Galatasaray training ahead of a key Süper Lig clash as the club push for the title

Victor Osimhen is expected to return to full team training on Wednesday as Galatasaray S.K. step up preparations for their upcoming Süper Lig fixtures, including a crucial clash against Fenerbahçe S.K..

Osimhen return comes after the striker has been sidelined since March 18 due to an arm injury sustained during a UEFA Champions League play-off match against Liverpool.

Club sources indicate that Galatasaray are fast-tracking his recovery to strengthen their attacking options during the decisive stage of the title race.

The Nigerian forward is also expected to be fully fit ahead of the high-stakes derby against Fenerbahçe on April 26, although he could still be included in the squad for this weekend’s league match against Gençlerbirliği.

Head coach Okan Buruk has reportedly held discussions with Osimhen regarding his reintegration into the squad as part of his gradual return to full fitness.

The striker recently participated in part of a training session before continuing individual rehabilitation work under medical supervision.

Since his injury, Galatasaray have struggled for consistency, dropping several points and recording just one win in three league matches.

The club currently sit on 68 points, narrowly ahead of Fenerbahçe, with Trabzonspor also still in contention in the title race.

Osimhen’s absence has highlighted his importance to the team, with Galatasaray losing multiple points during previous spells without him this season.

Since joining permanently for €75 million, he has scored 12 league goals and added four assists, alongside seven goals in European competition.
