“Magarau village… has been completely abandoned following repeated attacks by armed bandits loyal to Bello Turji. The sustained violence has forced the entire community to flee, leaving behind only ruins, silence, and a lingering atmosphere of fear,” Bakatsine wrote.

The attacks mark a continuation of insecurity in Sokoto, raising concerns over persistent cycles of violence, displacement, and impunity in affected communities. Authorities have yet to announce immediate intervention or resettlement plans for the displaced residents.
