Since then, the three-time African champions have conducted multiple training sessions to refine tactics and strategies ahead of the competition.

Tanzania, coached by Miguel Gamondi, is making only its fourth appearance at AFCON, with group stage exits in 1980, 2019, and 2023.

The Taifa Stars are yet to secure a win in nine previous matches, drawing three and losing six.

The tournament kicked off on Sunday with hosts Morocco defeating Comoros.
