Super Eagles donate to Super Falcons as six players gift ₦1m each to 24 squad members after Nigeria’s 10th WAFCON title win in Morocco

Super Eagles donate to Super Falcons in a heartwarming show of solidarity and national pride following Nigeria’s stunning win at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Six senior men’s national team players  William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, Leon Balogun, and Joseph Ayodele-Aribo  collectively contributed ₦24 million, giving ₦1 million each to every member of the 24-woman squad.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the donation was made in anticipation of the Falcons’ victory and delivered following their 10th WAFCON title win in Morocco.

The Super Falcons mounted a thrilling comeback to beat the host nation 3–2 in Rabat’s Olympic Stadium, with goals from Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi, and Jennifer Echegini.
