Wolverhampton Wanderers have barred Nigeria international Tolu Arokodare from training with the first team following a disciplinary incident that disrupted the club’s pre-season preparations, as uncertainty over the striker’s future continues to grow.

The incident reportedly unfolded on Tuesday after Arokodare was instructed not to train with the squad but refused to leave the pitch, prompting the club to cancel the scheduled training session.

According to reports from the Daily Mirror, new Wolves manager Cesar Peixoto has adopted a firm stance on discipline and is determined not to tolerate player misconduct or challenges to his authority.

The situation intensified on Wednesday when additional security measures were introduced at Wolves’ Compton Park training ground to ensure Arokodare did not gain access during the team’s training session.

The 25-year-old striker has also been excluded from the squad set to face Maidenhead United in a pre-season friendly on Thursday, further fuelling speculation over his future at the Premier League club.

The situation comes as several clubs continue to monitor the Nigerian forward. Serie A side Fiorentina are among the interested teams, although an initial offer for the striker has reportedly been rejected.
