Victor Osimhen scores his 200th career goal as Galatasaray beat Kayserispor 4-0, continuing his prolific form in the Turkish Super Lig

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen reached a major career milestone on Sunday, scoring his 200th senior goal as Galatasaray defeated Kayserispor 4-0 in the Turkish Super Lig, The PUNCH reports.

Osimhen doubled Galatasaray’s advantage before providing an assist, with Mauro Icardi converting a late penalty to complete the comprehensive win. He was substituted in the 82nd minute after a dominant performance.

The 200 goals encompass 165 at club level in 284 appearances and 35 goals in 51 matches for Nigeria.

Osimhen’s most prolific spell came with Napoli, where he scored 76 goals, while he has already netted 51 times in 61 matches for Galatasaray.

Earlier in his career, Osimhen scored 18 goals for LOSC Lille and 20 for Royal Charleroi SC.

Overall, he has now played 336 senior matches, contributing 200 goals and 51 assists across 12 competitions, with Serie A accounting for 65 goals and the Turkish Super Lig 33.

His accolades include league titles in Italy and Turkey, domestic cup success in Turkey, the FIFA U-17 World Cup with Nigeria, top scorer awards in Serie A and the Super Lig, and African Footballer of the Year.

Galatasaray’s victory keeps them atop the Super Lig with 49 points, six ahead of second-placed Fenerbahçe, who have a game in hand.

Osimhen’s continued form highlights his influence since joining the Turkish giants, having recently become the fastest player in the club’s history to reach 50 goals.
