Vitor Pereira is set to become Nottingham Forest’s next head coach, replacing Sean Dyche ahead of the Europa League knockout tie

Former Wolves manager Vitor Pereira is set to become the next head coach of Nottingham Forest, with final details of the deal still being finalised.

Pereira, who saved Wolves from relegation last season, was dismissed after a 10-game winless start this term.

He is expected to become Forest’s fourth permanent head coach in a single season.

Forest moved swiftly to secure Pereira ahead of next Thursday’s crucial Europa League knockout play-off first leg away to Fenerbahce.

The club has followed protocol by contacting Wolves regarding the former manager’s availability.

Pereira previously worked with Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos, where he won a league and cup double in 2015.
