Katsina Water Board MD Tukur Tingilin dies in auto accident; Governor Dikko Radda mourns and highlights his commitment to improving water supply

Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of Tukur Tingilin, Managing Director of the Katsina State Water Board, following an auto accident on Thursday.

In a condolence message issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula, Governor Radda described Tingilin’s death as a devastating loss to the state, particularly at a time when efforts to improve water supply across communities were intensifying.

The governor paid tribute to Tingilin’s professionalism, dedication, and commitment to public service.

“Engr. Tingilin’s leadership as Managing Director of the State Water Board was marked by selfless service to the people, even until his last breath,” the statement read.

Under his guidance, initiatives to ensure that clean water reached households across Katsina State were significantly strengthened.

Governor Radda also noted that Tingilin passed away as a faithful Muslim during the holy month of Ramadan.

“On behalf of the government and the people of Katsina State, we extend heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Managing Director and the people of Malumfashi Local Government Area. We pray to Allah to grant them strength and fortitude to bear this monumental loss,” the statement added.
