VeryDarkMan raises safety fears after King Mitchy’s apology, alleging it may be a decoy and warning that attempts could be made to frame him

Nigerian content creator and activist VeryDarkMan has raised concerns about his safety following a public apology from socialite King Mitchy, suggesting the gesture could be a “decoy” intended to mislead the public.

Mitchy had earlier addressed the activist directly, acknowledging his advocacy and expressing regret for previously confronting him over their public disagreement.

“To VeryDarkMan, my brother, I see what you’re fighting for, you’re fighting for Nigeria and we can make Nigeria a better place. I’m sorry for coming at you like that.

Maybe now I understand you better,” Mitchy said, adding that the activist needed more supporters rather than critics in his campaign for national reform.

Reacting in a video shared on Instagram on Sunday, VeryDarkMan questioned the timing of the apology, claiming it could have deeper implications.

“This apology from King Mitchy cannot just come from nowhere. During that period, Lege Miami made a direct video about me, but later deleted it, claiming he received calls from above.

Her apology has now pointed me in the right direction,” he said.

The activist further alleged that he had been specifically targeted and warned that certain individuals should be held accountable if anything happened to him. In the video, he mentioned Seyi Tinubu alongside Mitchy while expressing his concerns.

“If anything happens to me, hold Mitchy and Seyi Tinubu responsible. Hold them responsible because you see this thing now, it looks like a decoy to me,” he said.

VeryDarkMan also claimed that messages meant to intimidate him had been sent through mutual contacts during the earlier dispute, though he did not provide evidence to support the allegation.

He further warned that attempts could be made to implicate him in criminal activities, insisting that any such claims would be fabricated.

The activist’s remarks have since sparked fresh debate on social media, with supporters and critics reacting to the escalating tension between the personalities involved.
