The Neymar apology Santos incident follows an altercation on Sunday at the club’s training facility, where the 34-year-old forward slapped the 18-year-old after being dribbled past during a session.

According to reports, the situation escalated quickly, prompting an internal review by the club. Santos later confirmed that the matter had been resolved following discussions between both players.

Speaking publicly, Neymar acknowledged his actions and accepted responsibility without qualification. He said he “crossed the line” and admitted losing his temper, describing his reaction as a mistake.

“If you want an apology in front of the media, here it is,” Neymar said, adding that while both players were involved in the moment, he bore greater responsibility for the incident.

Despite the clash, Neymar spoke warmly about Robinho Jr, noting a strong personal connection and expressing affection for the younger player. He likened the disagreement to disputes between friends or family members, emphasising that such moments can occur in competitive environments.

Robinho Jr, son of former Brazil international Robinho, confirmed that Neymar apologised immediately after the incident and reiterated the apology multiple times. He said the situation had been resolved and described his relationship with Neymar as positive.
