Hull City have emerged as the leading contenders in the race for Nigeria international Femi Azeez, with the Millwall winger attracting interest from several clubs ahead of the new season.

The Championship side are pushing to secure the 25-year-old’s signature after his impressive performances for Millwall last campaign, although Premier League clubs Ipswich Town, Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion have also been linked with the player.

Azeez enjoyed a productive season with Millwall, contributing 11 goals and eight assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.

His pace, direct attacking style and ability to operate on either flank have made him one of the most sought-after players in the Championship market.

Millwall are understood to value Femi Azeez at no less than £15 million and are unwilling to consider offers below that figure.

The winger still has two years remaining on his contract with the club, giving Millwall a strong negotiating position.

Hull City’s interest comes as the club look to strengthen their attacking options and add more creativity to their squad.
