Nigerian TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, revealed on Monday, August 11, 2026, that he nearly sold the N400 million Abuja mansion gifted to him by real estate businessman King Ochacho, because he prefers living in Lagos.

Peller made the revelation while discussing the lavish property, which was presented to him during his wedding celebrations with his wife, Elizabeth Amadou, popularly known as Jarvis.

According to Peller, his preference for Lagos made him consider selling the Abuja property despite its considerable value.

He eventually reconsidered the decision after receiving advice to keep the house because it was given to him as a gift.

“I almost sold the house Ochacho gave me in Abuja because I prefer to stay in Lagos, but someone advised me not to sell it because it is a gift,” Peller said.

The revelation offers a glimpse into the practical considerations behind what had become one of the most talked-about gifts surrounding the couple’s wedding.

King Mohamed Adah, popularly known as King Ochacho, presented the property to Peller during the couple’s traditional wedding in Lagos on August 1.

At the ceremony, Ochacho announced that he was giving Peller a brand-new house in Abuja valued at N400 million. The announcement drew cheers from guests and quickly attracted widespread attention online.

The businessman later described the gift as relatively modest compared with what he could still offer the couple, saying the N400 million mansion was “no money” and promising that bigger gifts could follow.

Peller subsequently confirmed that he had received the property and expressed his gratitude to Ochacho for the gesture.

“Words honestly cannot explain how grateful I am,” Peller said in a post announcing that he had received the house.

The property has nevertheless attracted attention beyond its monetary value.

A lawyer, Bolaji Oluwatosin, recently questioned whether the documents and keys presented to Peller amounted to a perfected legal transfer of the Abuja property.

Oluwatosin said the reported presentation of keys, allocation papers and a Power of Attorney did not necessarily establish full legal ownership of the mansion, highlighting the distinction between receiving a property as a gift and completing the formal transfer of title.

The issue has added a legal dimension to what began as a celebratory wedding gesture, although Peller’s latest comments focused on his personal decision about whether to retain the property.

Peller has remained in the spotlight following his marriage to Jarvis, with the couple’s wedding attracting considerable attention from celebrities, influencers and fans.

For the TikTok star, the Abuja mansion now represents both a valuable asset and a memorable wedding gift.

His admission that he nearly sold it shows how location and lifestyle preferences can influence even significant financial decisions.

Rather than parting with the property, Peller has chosen to retain the gift after being persuaded to reconsider the sale.
