Arsenal failed to register the 27-year-old midfielder before the Premier League’s strict 12:00 pm deadline on Friday, ruling him out of Saturday’s fixture.

Eze, who completed a sensational £67.5 million move from Crystal Palace on Wednesday, will now have to wait until August 31 to make his debut when Arsenal face Liverpool.

Due to the transfer, he was also excluded from Palace’s Europa Conference League squad against Fredrikstad on Thursday.
