With the latest goals conceded, Arsenal have now let in 17 goals this season, surpassing Chelsea’s 21-year-old record of 15 goals conceded from the 2004/2005 campaign.

After the match at the Emirates Stadium, Terry wrote on Instagram: “The record is safe for another year.”

Terry, who was a key figure in Chelsea’s defence under Jose Mourinho, also called on former teammates to celebrate the milestone, saying:

“So Petr Cech, Paolo Maldini, Ricky Carvalho, and William Gallas, it’s time to celebrate with a bottle or a glass of red wine.”

The 44-year-old’s comments come as Arsenal struggle to match the defensive solidity that Chelsea displayed over two decades ago, highlighting the ongoing challenges in their backline this season.
