Victor Osimhen Galatasaray move made permanent after standout loan season. The Super Eagles star commits despite offers from Saudi giants

Victor Osimhen Galatasaray journey took a decisive turn as the Nigerian superstar confirmed his permanent return to the Turkish giants, ending weeks of speculation.

The 26-year-old striker initially joined Galatasaray on loan from Serie A side Napoli last season, where he dazzled with 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 games across all competitions.

His prolific form was instrumental in the club securing the Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup, while also finishing as the league’s top scorer for the 2024/25 campaign.

Despite lucrative offers from Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al Hilal and others, Osimhen chose to make his move permanent after Galatasaray agreed to pay his hefty €75 million transfer fee.

He has continued his fine form this season, scoring in two of the club’s first three league matches.

Speaking to Galatasaray’s official website, Osimhen admitted he had tempting offers but remained loyal:

“I have had big offers from some clubs. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t interested, but I’m happy to be at Galatasaray.”

“I already knew in my heart where I wanted to be. They valued me here… there is a really different understanding within the club.”

Currently with the Nigerian national team, Osimhen prepares for crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.

His form and commitment will be vital as Nigeria fights to secure a spot at the 2026 tournament in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
